# Guidance Scale

### What is 'Guidance'?

The guidance scale parameter determines the level of alignment between the generated image and the provided prompt.

In other words, it governs the extent to which your prompts influence the generation process. Adjusting this scale affects not only alignment but also visual characteristics such as contrast and detail.

### How to adjust the Guidance?

You can easily adjust the guidance by moving the dial or by clicking the arrows within the user interface.

Lower values produce more diverse outcomes, allowing for a wider range of creative possibilities. However, setting the value excessively high may result in image artifacts such as posterization.

Typically, values between 5 and 12 are recommended, although the impact can vary depending on the specific model being used. The default value is set at 7.5, providing a balanced starting point.

Feel free to embark on a journey of experimentation! Discover and nurture your own unique artistic style by exploring various combinations of settings and prompts.
