# Generation Seed

### About Generation Seed Numbers

The seed number plays a crucial role in generating images. Using the same seed number, prompt, and settings will produce an identical image, with minor differences possibly occurring. However, changing the seed number will result in a completely different composition.

By making slight modifications to your prompt while keeping the same seed number, you can refine an image while preserving its overall composition. This approach proves especially useful when attempting to regenerate an image and adjusting elements such as colors, facial expressions, camera angles, styles, and more.

If you activate the Shuffle button, Sogni will randomly select a seed for you, adding an element of surprise and spontaneity to the creative process.

You can view your Seed Number within Sogni's user interface.
